WHAT RESEARCH MEANS TO US
At Artificial Horizon, research is paramount. It is the main component of every work we do. All of our solutions are designed around the state-of-the-art of the particular domain. We start with our team of researchers who study the problem at hand, review the most advanced practices and methodologies, and design the optimum solution. Once our researchers are done, the work is passed to our team of developers to develop the solution up to the desired high standards. We ensure you the satisfaction of always having the most advanced solution.
When it comes to research, our crown jewel is the Intelligent Autopilot System (IAS), the world’s first AI autopilot proof-of-concept capable of performing complete flight cycles in simulation from takeoff to landing autonomously, even under extreme conditions. The IAS relies on a group of Artificial Neural Networks that work together in harmony. The design of the IAS allows for verification and validation testing, and eliminates the black-box problem.

In our work, we thrive to push the boundaries of what is possible. For example, the IAS is capable of handling situations beyond the current limits and abilities of experienced human pilots and modern autopilots as well, especially the ability to perform extreme crosswind landings.
